As a result of tight security measures taken during the High School and Intermediate final examinations, the number of cheaters has dropped significantly this year, according to UPMSP Secretary Dibyakant Shukla. 

Only 48 copycats were held this year against last year’s 127. Similarly, 37 imposters were caught compared to last year’s 133, he said.

The hard copy of the marks sheet collected from schools is treated as final and required for all future purposes. If the error remains on the hard copy too, the students should inform their school about it and approach the board for correction.

UP board result live: Data shared by the Uttar Pradesh board (UPMSP) shows that 55,08,206 students were registered for the Class 10 and 12 final exams, of whom 3,24,008 skipped it. The number of absentees has dropped since last year, when 4,31,571 candidates did not appear for their High School and Intermediate final examinations. It should be mentioned that the number of registered candidates was also less this year compared to 2023 when 58,85,745 candidates applied for the two exams.

“…there has been a one-third dip in the number of copycats and imposters who appeared in the UP Board examination. Only 48 copycats were held during this year’s exam against last year’s 127. Likewise, only 37 imposters were caught against last year’s 133,” UPMSP Secretary Dibyakant Shukla told Hindustan Times.
