RPF Recruitment 2024: Notification out for 4660 Sub-Inspector, Constable posts, registration begins tomorrow – Times of India

RRB RPF Recruitment 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a notification for the recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspector and Constable in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) today, April 14, 2024. Interested candidates can check the important dates, eligibility criteria and direct link to register for the recruitment here or on the official website at rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the online application process for RPF Recruitment 2024 for Sub-Inspector and Constable will open on April 15 and conclude on May 14, 2024.A total of 4660 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment drive, out of which 4208 posts are reserved for Constable and remaining 452 for Sub Inspector posts.
Educational Qualification

  • Sub-Inspector: You must hold a graduation degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.
  • Constable: You must have passed the 10th standard examination or an equivalent examination from a board recognized by the Government of India.

Age Limit

  • Sub-Inspector: The age limit for Sub-Inspector is between 20 and 28 years.
  • Constable: The age limit for Constable is between 18 and 28 years.

Selection Process
1. Online Computer Based Test (CBT): All candidates will take an online CBT exam.
2. Shortlisting: Based on their CBT performance, a list of candidates will be shortlisted. The number of shortlisted candidates will be 10 times the number of vacancies for each category (Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen). Selection will be based on merit within each category.
3. Physical Tests and Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (except Ex-Servicemen) will undergo the following:

  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification (DV)

Note: Ex-servicemen are exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) but must still complete the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV). If there aren’t enough qualified candidates after the first round of PET/PMT, additional candidates will be called for a second round based on their CBT merit within each category. There will be a maximum of two rounds of PET/PMT for each category.
Application Fee

1 For all candidates, (except categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2) out of this fee of Rs. 500/-, an amount of Rs. 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in the CBT Rs. 500
2 For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). This fee of Rs. 250/-shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in the CBT Rs. 250
